Since 1987, the U.S. Department of Commerce has presented the Baldrige Award annually to American organizations demonstrating superior quality and performance in the fields of education, healthcare, manufacturing, service and small business.

The award is a reflection of our values and ongoing commitment to achieve our ultimate goal of transforming American healthcare. We work with more than 1,700 hospitals each day to improve the quality of healthcare for patients while safely reducing costs.
